Women on the Move Luncheon
Women On The Move Luncheon at Dogwood Hills Farm, Locust – MS Society Fundraiser, NJ Metro Chapter

On Tuesday, September 22, more than 350 women (and men) turned out for the Women On The Move “Celebration of Hope” luncheon.  This year’s venue was the beautiful and elegant 16-acre home of William and Victoria Marraccini of Locust (Middletown).  The luncheon raises money for the National MS Society’s New Jersey Metro Chapter that serves 14 counties in north and central NJ, where it is estimated that almost 10-thousand people have multiple sclerosis.  The goal of this year’s Women on the Move fundraiser is to raise $100,000.

Chris Wragge of CBS News was the emcee and the special guest was Dr. Robi Ludwig, tv host, psychotherapist and author.  Robi has a dear friend living with MS and was inspired to design a lovely butterfly pendant, which was unveiled at the luncheon.  There was also a silent and live auction and Tindra Lanfrank was the wonderful chairwoman of the event.  This year’s honorees are Mollie Giamanco of Holmdel and Bonnie Higgins of Princeton.

The Derby Ball
The ball was held at The Shadowbrook in Shrewsbury on Friday, May 1st. What a great affair it was. The music was big band with tunes from the 40's 50's 60's. The crooner sounded like Frank Sinatra and looked like Dean Martin - it was the return of glamour.
The chair of the event was Tracy Brown and her husband Nick Brown was the superb auctioneer. Co chairs were Jacqui Dalton Fiorito (Book It Events) and Lisa Campanelli (Blue Moon Yoga)
Kudos to all the chairs and to Prevention First for such a glamourous way to raise money and awareness for the great work of the agency.
There were kids on hand to talk about their experiences with Project Vision - just one of Prevention First's programs, and they had the guests spellbound by their stories.

What a smashing show. The production of Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance at Red Bank Regional was superb. The costumes were colorful, the band was top notch and the singing was absolutely wonderful. Everyone involved in the production should be very "appy".

Mabel played by Elizabeth Loftus sang like a nightingale.

A party of cast and audience met back at the Loftus house in Little Silver to celebrate the performance.
