SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 28TH - The Monmouth County Historical Association is sponsoring a “Welcome Home” reception for the famous Emanuel Leutze painting “Washington at the Battle of Monmouth”. The painting has been on loan to George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate for a year-long exhibit there entitled “Washington and His Generals”. The painting is now back at the Monmouth County Historical Association. The reception will be at the Museum and Library, 70 Court Street, Freehold, NJ from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. The reception is open to the public, free of charge. Since light refreshments will be served, those wishing to attend are asked to contact the Association at 732-462-1466 by 2/26.
